The Tradescantia fluminensis, commonly known as Wandering Jew or Inch Plant, is a fast-growing trailing houseplant with delicate, oval green leaves and soft, flexible stems. Its cascading growth makes it perfect for hanging baskets, shelves and plant stands, where the stems can spill beautifully over the edges.
Easy to grow and quick to fill out, it is a great choice for adding fresh green foliage and movement to an indoor display.
Plant Care
☀️ Light
Prefers bright, indirect light but will tolerate medium light. Avoid strong direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
💧 Water
Keep the soil lightly moist, allowing the top 2–3 cm to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid letting the plant sit in water.
💨 Humidity
Enjoys moderate humidity but adapts well to average household conditions.
🌡️ Temperature
Thrives between 18–25°C. Protect from cold draughts and temperatures below 10°C.
🌱 Feeding
Feed every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser. Reduce feeding during autumn and winter.
