Dorypteris C. - Autumn Fern
Dorypteris C. - Autumn Fern
Originally native to tropical rain regions, this undemanding houseplant thrives in humid places with moderate light, making it a great addition to your bathroom or to an east/west-facing window in your kitchen.
The maidenhair fern loves the morning and evening sun, while it will quickly show brown leaves when it is exposed to the bright midday sun.
You should make sure it receives the same light intensity from all sides so it can grow evenly. If your plant receives more light on one side, make sure to rotate the pot slightly (1/8) every month. By doing it slowly your plant will have time to adapt its leaves to the new conditions and won't burn.
PLANT CARE
- Light: Moderate indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as it can burn the leaves.
- Water: Keep the soil moist but not damp. Water using filtered water, once a week or when the top 2cm of its compost dries out.
This plant is not edible, but it is not toxic if accidentally ingested.
