The Calathea 'Stella' is a beautiful tropical houseplant admired for its elegant, patterned foliage and graceful upright growth. Its richly marked leaves bring texture and movement to indoor spaces, while the natural movement of Calatheas adds an extra touch of character as the leaves gently rise and lower throughout the day.
A great choice for adding a lush, tropical feel to homes and offices.
Plant Care
☀️ Light
Prefers bright, indirect light to medium light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch or fade the patterned leaves.
💧 Water
Keep the soil evenly and lightly moist, allowing the top 1–2 cm to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid letting the soil become completely dry or waterlogged. Filtered, rain or soft water is preferable.
💨 Humidity
Loves high humidity, ideally 60% or above. A humidifier or naturally humid room will help keep the foliage looking its best.
🌡️ Temperature
Thrives between 18–27°C. Protect from cold draughts and temperatures below 15°C.
🌱 Feeding
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser at half strength. Reduce feeding during autumn and winter.
