Calathea Fusion Yellow
Calathea Fusion Yellow
The rare Calathea Fusion Yellow has impressive, fully variegated foliage. It does well indoors and is more commonly grown as a house plant, but it can also be grown outdoors in hot and humid climates.
Also a member of the Prayer plant family, they get their name for its unique habit of raising its leaves to an upright position at night. The leaves fold together like hands during prayer!
Tip: This plant can be a bit fussy with water, so always use rainwater or filtered water. Chlorine and excess salts in tap water may damage the root system and cause the edges of the leaves to go brown and crisp.
Not edible. Non-toxic if accidentally ingested.
PLANT CARE
-
Keeping the soil constantly moist but not soggy is preferable. In cooler weather, this plant can be kept a little drier. Allowing just the top inch of soil to dry before rewatering usually provides good results.
-
Light: Bright indirect light, avoid direct light as it can scorch the leaves.
