The Alocasia Cucullata plant, also known as ‘Buddha’s Palm,’ is a famous houseplant choice. It has earned this unique name because of its slender stems attached to large heart-shaped leaves that seem to be waving with the slightest of breezes.
Plant measures 45cm, pot measures 12cm.
Bright indirect sunlight, turn the pot occasionally to encourage leaves to develop in all directions.
Keep the compost moist through the summer months, but be careful to not overwater your plant as it can lead to root rot. During winter, reduce the water regime by half. Alocasias appreciate a moist environment, so mist around your plant often and avoid water sitting on the leaves as it can scorch it when exposed to sunlight.
Not edible. Toxic if accidentally ingested.
