Philodendron Scandens is an evergreen climber growing to 3–6 m, with heart-shaped glossy green leaves.
Native to Central America and the Caribbean. Usually displayed in hanging pots, trained in a moss pole or on a wall, as its aerial roots adhere to surfaces.
Not edible. Toxic if accidentally ingested.
Light: Best in moderate indirect sunlight, can tolerate bright light, but not direct sunlight. Perfect for shady spots as well. Turn the pot occasionally to encourage the leaves to develop in all directions.
Water: Keep the compost moist through the summer months, but be careful to not overwater your plant as it can lead to root rot. During winter, reduce the water regime by half. This plant will tolerate some degree of drought better than having its roots too wet.
